Maize Starch is derived from the endosperm of corn's kernel by a mechanical process achieved by latest machines. It is a most commonly used thickening agent for sauces, gravies, and soups. This starch is also added as an anti-caking agent in powdered confectionary sugar. It can be used in the manufacturing of bio-plastics. Maize Starch is also an anti-stick agent which finds its application as natural latex for condoms, medical gloves, and diaphragms.
